Have a Night Out and Help Raise Money for SHE on January 21st from 5-8!

Please join us at our next Summit Hill Night Out at Roasters restaurant (located in the Kroger shopping center off of Windward Pkwy and Hwy 9 ) this next Thursday night January 21st from 5-8!! Take a break from cooking and come to Roasters to dine with fellow SHE families and visit with several SHE teachers and staff members who plan to attend. We hope to see you there and remember a portion of sales from that night will come back to our PTA which helps our kids!!

 Register for Girls on the Run 3rd – 5th Grades Opens January 25th @ 9:00 am

What is Girls on the Run? 

 Professionally designed, award-winning program for girls in grades 3 -5

Running workouts and games that teach specific life skills such as how to make healthy decisions, resolve conflict and get along in a group

After-school program that meets for 10 weeks, twice a week for 1.5 hours

Culminates in a end-of-season 5k run/walk event

Our mission is to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.  Our program includes running workouts and games that teach specific life skills such as how to make healthy decisions, resolve conflict and get along in a group.  For girls of all athletic abilities.

Join Us for Teacher Appreciation Week January 25th – 29th!!

Monday:        Wear your teachers favorite team colors or jersey

Tuesday:       Banana Split day for the teachers

Wednesday: Bring in a note or picture to give to your teacher

Thursday:     Restock your teachers class supplies

Friday:             Souper Bowl teacher luncheon

Upcoming Art EDventures Lessons

During the month of January, two grade levels will visit the ArtEDventures studio to learn about the following artists and create their own masterpieces.

January 19th – 22nd: 2nd Grade – Meaders

January 26th – 28th: 1st Grade – Wyland

Parents will be contacted by either class Room Reps or Art EDventures Grade Level Chairs for volunteer opportunities. Please contact the Art EDventures Lead Administrators with questions:

January 11th - 15th: Kindergarten – Earth Materials

January 25th – 29th: 5th Grade – Physical Geology
