Labels for Education

How would you like to help our school get FREE STUFF? All Husky families listen up. It’s time to start collecting Labels from many different food products that we all use. Last year, SHE families raised $1,873 just from box tops. WOW! All that FREE money went to PTA projects that support the school and help our kids. We are setting a modest 2009-2010 goal of $2,000.00. How can you help meet that goal? There are three ways:

Box Tops for CashBox Tops for Education
Clip the pink box tops from all participating General Mills products. Also, be sure to visit the www.boxtops4education.com website to earn up to 8% from qualifying online purchases!!! SHE receives $0.10 per Box Top. Up to $60,000.00 is available to every school year.
The 100,000 Bonus Box Tops Sweepstakes begins – Pillsbury is giving two lucky schools 50,000 Bonus Box Tops each (that’s a $5,000 value).  You can enter daily from January 4th – February 28th at www.boxtops4education.com.

CampbellsLabels for Education
Remove all Labels for Education UPC codes from participating products (i.e. Campbells’s soup, Pepperidge Farms products, Prego, etc) and send them into school with your child.  Be sure to leave the barcode attached to the label.  Check out www.labels4education.com for more information regarding participating products.  Labels for Education will assist Summit Hill in purchasing educational tools and supplies.
The Labels for Educations program has a special promotion called e-Labels for Education.   Participants will have the opportunity to earn Labels for Education Bonus points when they shop for participating Labels for Education products at their favorite Kroger store.Starting January 3rd and running through February 2nd, 2010, registered e-Labels for Education users will automatically receive 250 Labels for Education Bonus points with the purchase of any 10 participating Labels for Education products in the same transaction using their Shopper’s Card.

Just go to www.elabelsforeducation.com and sign up today to start earning Labels for Education points for our school.

Tyson
Tyson Project A+ (New Program for our school this year)
Clip and save the entire Project A+ label from participating Tyson products. SHE receives $0.24 for each label. Schools can earn up to $12,000.00 each year and there are no restrictions on how the funds are used. It can be used on field trips, computer equipment, sports gear, library books – anything! Go to www.tyson.com/projectaplus for more information.

My Coke Rewards (New program for our school this year)
Collect bottle caps and codes from 12 and 24-pack cans.  Volunteers will enter the unredeemed codes to obtain points for our school to use to purchase athletic gear, art or educational supplies.  Go to www.mycokerewards.com for more information.

Every month we will be having a classroom contest on who can collect the most labels and caps. Submit your labels to your child’s classroom (in a zip lock bag with child’s name, grade and teacher on the outside of the bag – please include bottle tops in a separate bag in case there is any residue on the caps) for each monthly contest. Each child in the winning class will receive a prize. Be creative on collecting labels – ask grandparents, aunts, uncles, seniors in your community to help collect. Place containers at work to collect bottle tops and labels. Be sure to watch the Friday school newsletter for classroom contest dates!!!

Anyone interested in volunteering to help clip labels/ box tops, etc., please contact susan.warren@comcast.net. This is the perfect opportunity for stay at home parents or parents that work to help the school from the comfort of their homes.
